Cold Therapy
It all begins with an idea.
Cold Therapy is another tool which puts you into direct connection to Source Energy, God, The Universe, or however you wish to call it. This happens through the alteration of your physiology and chemistry within your blood.
When you first start taking cold showers, it is best to gradually introduce yourself through a period of adaptation. You start slow. When you take your first 30 second cold shower, you will notice you have an immediate surge in adrenaline, and start to hyperventilate. What this is teaching you that while you are hyperventilating, you can take control of your breath. Once you take control over the breath, you notice that the cold is not that cold anymore. In fact, it feels AMAZING. You have experienced your first dose of hormetic stress.
Hormetic stress is deliberate acute stress which is healthy for our bodies, just like exercise is. This acute stress improves your body and minds ability to adapt to stress, and makes it more tolerable in the future. It also decreases chronic stress and inflammation, which is a leading cause of disease in cardiovascular disease, stroke, high blood pressure, inflammatory conditions, and chronic pain. This chronic stress is the silent killer, which ultimately leads to our demise.
So as you introduce yourself to the cold showers, you will notice that the acute stress is used as a tool to blunt the impact of the chronic stress of the modern condition. You will notice your stress going down, staying calm in stressful situation, and that your body is becoming resilient to injury. You now have a connection to this spiritual energy which is provided by the cold.
As the weeks go by, you will start to enjoy the cold more and more. I know this sounds crazy right now, but you will start to look forward to it. The unpleasant shock of the cold turns into a blissful, peaceful, healing moment which gives you more energy for a thousand lifetimes.
The amazing thing that happens is that these moments of peace bring you in connection with Source. There is a higher intelligence working for you now. You are no longer alone, competing against 8 billion others for your survival. You are never alone. You have this strong connection which is lacking in the modern condition. As this connection gets stronger, all of the problems in your life start working themselves out. You enter into flow and harmony with your life, and you are able to manifest all that your heart desires…and MORE!
